Superstitious

Meaning: Superstitious - Superstition, misguided belief, refers to a "belief, considered erroneous, in the efficacy of supernatural forces in certain people and things" (for example, witchcraft or talismans), including a conception of the workings of anthropomorphically conceived demonic forces. Superstition is found in the lives and actions of people in all cultures and times. Such ideas exist both in culturally generally accepted collective thought patterns and rituals, for example, in the belief in symbols that bring good or bad luck (lucky charms) or in formulaic sayings and individual forms.
